I love Costco. We hadn’t been there in ages (ok, at least since the baby was born so we’ve been paying for a membership that we hardly use. That’s besides the point). So we were headed home early from a superbowl party on Sunday and decided to stop to stock up on a few things. I popped Lucy in her carrier facing out (she won’t have It any other way, she loves to see the world around her) and we headed in. Somewhere around the grocery section I noticed someone looking at us. Not just looking but staring. With this troubled look on her face staring. I didn’t think much of it but I noticed her go out of her way to come around another aisle to look at us some more. Strange. I smiled at her and she gave me a very puzzled look and walked away. Hmmm. Very strange. I was thinking that maybe she’s never seen a baby in a carrier before. So we continued on our way filling up our ginormous cart with hugemongous items. We made our way to the registers and were working our way through checkout when someone pointed out something about Lucy. The grocery cart filler laughed and said that it looked like my baby had giant arms. At some point while we were walking through the store I had thought it was a little cold so I put my coat on backwards with my hands through the sleeves to cover Lucy up except for her head. Looking back I now realize why that lady was staring at me. It looked hilarious. It really looked like Lucy had giant full grown woman arms. She must have thought I had some kind of strange looking baby. Still, is there any need to stare? Rude.
that's funny :)
