No mom jeans allowed. And a product review.

Like many women, jeans are very important to me. They are a staple in my wardrobe. I wear them to work, I wear them when I go grocery shopping, I wear them when I go out with my friends, I wear them to church, I wear them nearly every day. So finding the right pair of jeans is of the utmost importance to me. They have to be flattering and comfortable, stretchy but not too stretchy, they have to pass the bend test (no buttcrack, please), they definitely can't be "mom jeans" and they have to be the right length or need to be altered to be the right length.

I almost always have to get my jeans altered. They seem to be made now to fit women who are about 9 feet tall. Here's where I face a dilemma. For altering I have two choices...heels or flats. I find it to be a very difficult decision. While I usually get my new jeans altered to the length of my heels I would like to wear them with my cute flats too. So what is a girl to do? Roll them up? Wait for months for them to shrink in the washer to be the right length for flats? Buy two pairs of the same jeans and have them altered in different lengths? Not with how much jeans cost now.

So here is my review of the jeans I purchased over the weekend and took on a test run today. I bought Hudson Triangle Pocket Bootcut Stretch Jeans. Here is a what they look like...

I would have taken a picture of myself in them but this is a much better visual. Plus they look exactly the same on me. EXACTLY. Ok, you can stop laughing now. Anyway, I am so happy with these! They are by far the most comfortable pair of jeans I have owned! They are the perfect rise. Not too low, but not "mom jean" like. The dark wash is great for making everything look a little slimmer. No buttcrack issues whatsoever.

I purchased them at Nordstrom yesterday with a gift card that had been sitting in my wallet for over two years. I have always been so impressed with Nordstrom. Their customer service is great. They are really good with returns. AND they altered my jeans for free. In 20 minutes!

  2. I love those jeans! I miss Nordstrom, they don't have one in Nashville yet. So, did you have them altered for flats or heels...the suspense in killing me :o)
