I had made some using this pattern but I purchased the fabric from JoAnne's and didn't use the actual Amy Butler fabric. I don't like them. So I'm starting over with the real stuff that I purchased from here.
And then I want to make this for Lucy...

Here is the fabric I purchased for the pillows...

And here's the fabric I chose for the cat/bird pattern...

I can't wait to get started on these fun projects. I just learned to sew last spring and have only done a few simple sewing projects. (bathroom curtains, pillows, hemming pants). So wish me luck! Hopefully I haven't gotten in over my head :)
Those fabrics are beautiful! Can't wait to see photos of the finished products! :)
ReplyDeletei LOVE amy butler patterns, too. i have her 'in stitches' book, but haven't made anything out of it yet. you are inspiring me :)
ReplyDeleteps - your fabric is sooo pretty!!
yea! I got the fabric in today. It's all washed and ironed and ready to go. I forgot how tedious sewing projects are (haha). I have the In Stitches book too and also haven't made anything out of it yet. I've gotten so many free patterns and instructions from her website that I just end up using those! I'll have to dig the book out too.
ReplyDeleteOooh! I love Amy Butler's designs! I have a couple things I have made with her fabric and enjoy drooling over her website! :) Can't wait to see your finished projects.
ReplyDeleteI have totally been telling my BFF that I want to learn to sew! You go girl!
